PN deploys assets to aid Coast Guard during Luzon quarantine

The Philippine Navy (PN) is providing assets and personnel to support the Coast Guard's efforts during the Luzon enhanced community quarantine.

Four naval craft, two rigid-hull inflatable boats, and their crews have been deployed from Sangley Point, Cavite City, as part of Task Group Laban COVID-19 (Water Cluster).

These PN assets are under the supervision of the Naval Task Group-National Capital Region (NTG-NCR) to intercept unauthorized water travel in Manila Bay.

The Navy’s 2nd Patrol Boat Division is also deployed to complement Coast Guard vessels, while two rigid-hull inflatable boats with personnel from the Naval Special Operations Group are on standby for deployment.
