Army's CBRN unit activated to disinfect COVID-19 checkpoints

The Philippine Army's Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) unit has been activated to help combat the spread of COVID-19.

The CBRN unit is tasked with disinfecting checkpoints and army facilities throughout Luzon, which is under enhanced community quarantine.

Lieutenant General Gilbert Gapay stated that a building has been set aside for potential patients and medical teams are on standby 24/7.

All vehicles and equipment used by troops at checkpoints are thoroughly disinfected after each shift.
