Letran beats CSB 71-69 in NCAA men's basketball

Colegio de San Juan de Letran secured a narrow victory over De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament on Sunday with a score of 71-69, ending CSB's four-game win streak.

Deo Cuajao led Letran with 20 points and five three-pointers, while rookie Sherick Estrada contributed an all-around performance of 17 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block.

Letran overcame a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter to storm back from a 14-point Blazers lead en route to their victory, improving their record to 3-2.

CSB's Winston Ynot scored 15 points and Allen Liwag added 12 points with 15 rebounds but it was not enough for CSB to maintain its top seed in the league.

Kevin Santos made a crucial basket with 14 seconds left in the game to secure Letran's win, while Cuajao delivered 15 of his total production in the final part of the game and dished out the game-tying assist to Joseph Nunag.

Letran head coach Allen Ricardo praised his team for stepping up and showing their courage, emphasizing that they will not back down from any challenges.
