25 more lawmakers sign Duterte's impeachment; total 240

Twenty-five additional lawmakers have signed the fourth impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte, raising the total number of endorsers to 240 out of 306 House members.

House Secretary General Reginald Velasco confirmed that these new signatories were unable to be physically present during the initial oath-taking due to commitments abroad or with their constituents and have now submitted verified signatures.

The additional lawmakers include representatives from various provinces such as Biñan, Cagayan, Isabela, Lanao del Norte, Leyte, Masbate, Negros Occidental, Quirino, Sultan Kudarat, Pangasinan, Ako Bicol party-list, Cavite, Tarlac, Oriental Mindoro, and several party-list representatives.

Deputy Majority Leader Lorenz Defensor attributed the unified support for the complaint to extensive consultations across major political groups, emphasizing the strength of the evidence presented.

The House is preparing an information campaign to educate the public about the impeachment process and is also making preparations for potential trial proceedings in the Senate.
