Duterte places Bacolod, Lanao del Sur under MECQ

President Duterte placed Bacolod City in Western Visayas and Lanao del Sur under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) starting September 8.

The IATF approved a moratorium on the entry of locally stranded individuals (LSIs) to these areas from September 7 until September 21, following requests by local government units.

Lanao del Sur's governor issued an executive order mandating strict health protocols and prohibiting movement every Sunday except for emergencies and authorized persons outside residence.
