La Union records first new COVID-19 case in Bacnotan

A 43-year-old male seafarer from Bacnotan, La Union tested positive for COVID-19 on June 25, marking the province's first new case since June 23.

The patient had traveled to Metro Manila on June 20 for a pre-deployment medical examination and is asymptomatic, currently confined at Balaoan District Hospital.

As of June 25, La Union has recorded 23 total cases with 18 recoveries, four deaths, and one active case.

Prior to this new case, La Union had zero active cases as a 30-year-old male patient from Naguilian recovered on June 21.
