DOH reports first 2 COVID-19 cases in Masbate

The Department of Health reported the first two coronavirus cases in Masbate on June 27, making it one of over 20 provinces that had previously been free from the virus.

Patient Bicol #96 is a 23-year-old male who arrived from Caloocan City on June 22 and showed no symptoms; Patient Bicol #97 is a 25-year-old male who came from Taguig City, arriving in Bicol on June 21 and showing symptoms three days later.

Both patients are quarantined in Aroroy municipality. Additionally, six new cases were reported across the Bicol Region, bringing the total to 101 cases with 22 active cases.
