De La Salle University secured a thrilling victory over the University of Santo Tomas in an overtime match during the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament, clinching their top position with a narrow win of 94-87.

Kevin Quiambao led De La Salle University with a career-high scoring performance of 29 points and nine rebounds after battling through a nervous system issue, dedicating his achievement to God and his family.

The game featured a significant comeback from UST, who narrowed the lead to one point late in regulation before forcing overtime. Quiambao emphasized the importance of teamwork and credited his teammates for supporting him throughout the match.

Quiambao also acknowledged that turnovers were a concern, with La Salle committing 26 compared to UST's 20, but stressed the need to value every possession moving forward.
