Isko: PHP100K for Manila barangays with zero new COVID cases

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno announced a PHP100,000 incentive for barangays with zero new COVID-19 cases from September 1 to October 31.

The mayor clarified that it is the Department of Health and Manila Health Department responsible for reporting infections, not barangay officials.

Moreno emphasized that accurate case reporting will be enforced alongside the incentive program to ensure transparency.

He also noted that the financial reward would help barangays with depleted budgets in their fight against the virus.
