Isko Moreno secures Manila mayor win with 'Make Manila Great Again' campaign

Isko Moreno has officially reclaimed the position of Manila's mayor after securing a decisive win in the 2025 mayoral elections.

Based on final results released by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Moreno received 529,507 votes compared to incumbent Mayor Honey Lacuna's 190,315 votes and independent candidate Sam Verzosa's 164,047 votes with partial results from 71.41% of precincts reporting.

Moreno campaigned on a promise to 'make Manila great again,' focusing on improving cleanliness and maintaining peace and order in the city.

During his previous term from 2019 to 2022, Moreno highlighted achievements such as the city's COVID-19 response, including vaccination efforts and the construction of the Manila COVID-19 Field Hospital in just 52 days.

Lacuna conceded defeat to Moreno, who emphasized the need for everyone's participation in rebuilding Maynila for future generations.
