Isko Moreno pledges hate-free leadership in Manila

Manila Mayor-elect Isko Moreno Domagoso vowed on Tuesday to lead the city without hatred and heal past tensions after being proclaimed as Manila's new mayor with 529,507 votes in the midterm elections.

Domagoso acknowledged the emotionally challenging campaign season, particularly issues with former ally Honey Lacuna and her family.

Despite these conflicts, he expressed a willingness to reach out and heal, emphasizing his commitment to serving all citizens of Manila.

The mayor-elect highlighted his plans to prioritize orderliness and cleanliness in the city, promising to bring back certainty for its residents.

Domagoso stressed that while leading with no hatred is important, he remains dedicated to addressing the needs of Manila's citizens effectively.
