Lacuna leads mayoral race with Moreno second, Verzosa third

Incumbent Mayor Honey Lacuna, former mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso, and Rep. Sam Verzosa cast their votes on Monday, May 12, at separate polling sites in Manila.

As of 9:54 p.m., Moreno obtained 539,360 votes followed by Lacuna with 191,836 votes and Versoza with 165,265, according to the Commission on Elections' partial and unofficial results.

Lacuna and Verzosa voted at Legarda Elementary School in Sampaloc, while Domagoso cast his ballot at Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School in Tondo.

All three candidates have consistently led in surveys for the mayoral seat, ahead of eight other aspirants.

The alliance between Lacuna and Moreno fractured after Moreno announced his mayoral candidacy against her following his 2022 presidential bid loss.

If found guilty of election offenses like vote buying, candidates could face disqualification or imprisonment ranging from one to six years.

Manila's 2025 elections have 1.14 million registered voters.
