ICPO seizes PHP3.3M worth of shabu in anti-drug ops, arrests 7 suspects

A 24-hour anti-drug operation in Iloilo City resulted in the confiscation of over PHP3.3 million worth of shabu, including a recent seizure of about 450 grams with an estimated street value of PHP3.06 million.

The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) reported that seven drug suspects were arrested and approximately 486 grams of shabu seized during these operations, adding the arrest of Ronaldo Pedrosa alias 'Onald/Naldo' in Barangay Bakhaw on Wednesday.

In Barangay General Hughes, a high-value suspect known as 'Lan' was apprehended with 305 grams of shabu valued at over PHP2.07 million.

Another high-value individual identified as 'Neneng' was arrested in Molo district where police seized 170 grams of shabu worth more than PHP1.15 million.

Three additional suspects were apprehended and over PHP64,000 worth of shabu confiscated from three separate operations across different barangays.

The Iloilo City government commended the successful operation, citing their dedication to protecting the city from illegal drugs.
