Police arrest 8 drug suspects, seize P1.4M shabu in Rizal, Laguna

Police anti-narcotics operatives in Rizal and Laguna provinces arrested eight drug suspects, including two major traffickers, and seized over P1.4 million worth of shabu during buy-bust operations on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

In Binangonan town, police arrested a suspect alias 'Sot' who was found with seven plastic sachets containing 56.5 grams of shabu valued at over P384,000 and a loaded .45 caliber pistol.

In Taytay town, two suspects named Mike and Macmac were apprehended for selling eight sachets of meth weighing 25 grams worth P170,000.

Cainta town police arrested Kano and Onaks in Barangay San Juan with six sachets of shabu valued at P34,000; in San Mateo town, Tatay was caught during a sting operation in Barangay Pintong Bukawe with five sachets of meth worth P34,000.

On Monday night, police in Antipolo City, Rizal arrested 'Jerico,' a high-value individual in the illegal drug trade, after he sold a pack of shabu to an undercover officer; seized were 13 plastic sachets containing 85 grams worth P757,316.

In Calamba City, Laguna, police also apprehended 'Arvin' with seven sachets containing 35 grams of shabu worth P224,800 and a digital weighing scale; both suspects are now under custody facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
