De La Salle-St. Benilde beats Arellano 100-77 to maintain NCAA lead

De La Salle-College of St. Benilde maintained their lead in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament with a decisive victory over Arellano University on Wednesday, winning 100-77.

Gab Cometa led De La Salle-College of St. Benilde with a career-high 23 points and three triples, while Justine Sanchez contributed a double-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and one steal.

Allen Liwag added 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists for the Blazers, who improved their record to nine wins in 11 games.

Troy Valencia scored 25 points but it wasn't enough for Arellano University to overcome De La Salle-College of St. Benilde's strong performance.

The victory avenged a previous loss to Arellano and further solidified De La Salle-College of St. Benilde’s position at the top of the league standings, with Mapua in second place and San Beda University third.
