Congress holds special session Monday to realign funds for COVID-19

Congress will hold a special session on Monday, March 23 at 10 a.m. to grant President Duterte authority to realign funds for COVID-19 response.

The House of Representatives will use telecommunications and online technology for voting, with only 20 members physically attending the session to maintain social distancing.

Senate President Sotto clarified that the bill does not seek emergency powers for the President but aims to allocate around P200 billion from available GOCC funds for two months to help affected families.
