Cayetano: PPE shortage reports are 'fake news'

Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano dismissed reports of personal protective equipment shortages for health workers as 'fake news' on Tuesday.

Cayetano, during a speech after the House approved a bill granting President Duterte special authority to address the COVID-19 crisis, urged trust in the government's response.

He criticized those who politicize the health emergency and defended the lack of specific details in the bill, stating it cannot be like an appropriations law with detailed budget allocations.
