House set to approve P162B Bayanihan 2 next week

House leaders are set to approve the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act next week, providing P10.5 billion for hiring additional healthcare workers.

On Wednesday, the House approved the bill on second reading with a total budget of P162 billion.

Leaders from various political parties and party-list organizations signed a manifesto supporting the government's COVID-19 response efforts and guaranteeing immediate passage of Bayanihan 2.

The Senate has already approved its version of the bill, aiming to reconcile both versions this month or in September.
