House skips Aug 12 session due to rising COVID cases

The House of Representatives will not hold its session on Wednesday, August 12, due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila.

Majority Leader Martin Romualdez said the break is in response to employee requests and will allow for thorough disinfection of facilities.

The House approved the Bayanihan to Recover As One Act and four other national bills related to the government's COVID-19 response measures before deciding to suspend Wednesday’s session.
