Tan files P2-B bill to fund DOH's nCoV response

House Committee on Health chair Angelina Tan filed House Bill 6166 seeking P2.04 billion for the DOH to purchase surgical masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) amid the novel coronavirus threat.

Tan included a reporting mechanism in her bill to mandate the DOH to give detailed accounts of the budget’s utilization.

House committee on ways and means chair Joey Salceda filed HB No. 6177 seeking P2.24 billion for similar purposes, with an additional amount for repatriating Filipinos from China.
