DepEd forms task force for nCoV outbreak

The Department of Education (DepEd) formed a task force to address the 2019 novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019-nCoV ARD) outbreak.

The task force will cooperate with the Department of Health and develop standard protocols for DepEd offices and schools.

Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan said the policy component will be chaired by the Secretary, while the operational component will be led by the School Health Division in partnership with other services.

DepEd also plans to help DOH disseminate accurate information about 2019-nCoV and coordinate with regions where the first confirmed case had traveled before being quarantined.
