Bong Go: Criticisms won't help address nCoV threat

Senator Bong Go believes that criticisms against President Duterte and his administration will not help address the threat of the novel coronavirus (nCoV) in the country.

Go made this remark after netizens expressed frustrations over the supposed lack of immediate response from the administration.

He invited bashers and critics to attend the Senate Committee on Health hearing next week to air their grievances on government's response to nCoV.

The hearing will convene health officials, airport officials, and other concerned agencies to assess the country's response to the global spread of nCoV.

Go chairs the Senate health committee and wants to be updated on the new developments and safety measures implemented by health officials.

The national government is doing its best to contain the situation and prevent the spread of the virus, with 40 scanners set up in ports of entry nationwide.
