MMDA: Metro Manila can vaccinate up to 120K daily

Metro Manila could vaccinate up to 120,000 people daily once there is a steady supply of vaccines, MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia said Thursday.

Garcia expressed confidence that 70% of Metro Manila residents could be vaccinated within four months.

The government will focus its vaccination drive on high-risk areas such as NCR and neighboring provinces to achieve herd immunity, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said Tuesday.

More than 800,000 Filipinos have already received a COVID-19 vaccine since the program began on March 1.
