Duterte willing to waive COVID-19 vaccine slot

President Rodrigo Duterte said on Monday that he is willing to waive his slot for a COVID-19 vaccine, prioritizing those who can 'live productively'.

Duterte, 76, noted that as a senior citizen, he is not among the priority groups under the country's vaccination program.

On Tuesday, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque clarified that Duterte’s statement was temporary and expressed hope that it would change when more vaccine supplies arrive in May and June.
