Villafuerte urges bigger calamity funds for Rolly-hit areas

Camarines Sur Representative Luis Raymund Villafuerte is urging Congress to allocate more calamity funds in the 2021 budget for areas affected by Super Typhoon Rolly, particularly Bicol.

Villafuerte also filed a House resolution proposing a special task force led by President Duterte to oversee rehabilitation efforts in typhoon-hit regions like Bicol and Calabarzon.

On November 2, Camarines Sur declared a state of calamity due to the damage caused by Rolly, with at least 20 deaths reported.

Local executives appealed to President Duterte for immediate assistance for over 80,000 families in Camarines Sur who lost their homes and livelihoods to Super Typhoon Rolly.
