Habagat brings rains to Western Visayas, Zamboanga, BARMM, Palawan

The Philippines continues to experience widespread rains due to the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, according to PAGASA's forecast for Monday, July 14.

Moderate to heavy rain showers are expected in Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and BARMM, while Metro Manila will see partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Palawan may experience light to moderate rains on Monday due to habagat, which may trigger flash floods or landslides. The western portion of Central and Southern Luzon may also have cloudy skies and scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

PAGASA continues to urge the public and local disaster risk reduction offices to remain alert, especially in areas prone to flooding and landslides.

No gale warning is raised for any seaboards of the country, but light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are forecast elsewhere in the Philippines.
