Tropical depression forms east of Northern Luzon, no threat to PH

As of 8 p.m., the tropical depression was located 1,870 kilometers east-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds up to 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness up to 70 kph.

The system is moving northward at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour but is not expected to enter Philippine waters, according to Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda.
