Gov't sets aside 2M doses for HCWs' boosters

The government has set aside up to two million doses of Covid-19 vaccine for healthcare workers who are fully inoculated and need a booster dose.

On Wednesday, Galvez welcomed the arrival of 3.5 million Sinovac vaccine doses and announced guidelines for senior citizens, immunocompromised individuals, and those with comorbidities to receive booster shots.

As of Tuesday, over 124 million Covid-19 vaccines have been delivered to the country, with around 31.87 million people fully vaccinated.

On Tuesday, 1.35 million Moderna vaccine doses arrived in the Philippines for use as booster shots and for minors aged 12 to 17 years old.

The administration of booster shots for healthcare workers is targeted to be completed by the end of November.
