Biz groups urge gov’t to let use bought COVID-19 vaccines as boosters

On Tuesday, 26 business groups urged the government to allow them to use their purchased COVID-19 vaccines as booster shots for employees and families.

The groups noted that vaccine efficacy wanes beyond six months and without boosters, there is a risk of another surge which could shut down the economy again.

With the country's stockpile reaching close to 60 million doses, the private sector fears vaccines may expire if not used soon.
