Palace disputes claims of gov’t failure in COVID-19 response

Malacañang disputes claims of government failure in handling the coronavirus pandemic.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles stated that the government never underestimated the threat posed by COVID-19 and acted promptly with measures like expanded testing and an enhanced community quarantine.

Nograles emphasized there were no shortcomings in the government's response, countering criticisms from ACT Teachers party-list Representative France Castro who accused the government of incompetence.
