GMA Kapuso Foundation distributes relief goods to 9,598 families hit by STS Kristine

GMA Kapuso Foundation distributed relief goods to 9,598 families affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine in isolated areas of Cagayan, Isabela, Albay, and Camarines Sur.

The distribution was part of Operation Bayanihan and involved the use of two presidential helicopters provided by Cebu Pacific Air, Southern Luzon Command's 7th Infantry Division, and the Presidential Security Command.

Brgy. Pantao in Libon, Albay, became isolated due to road collapses, while Brgy. Panoypoyan in Bula, Camarines Sur, remained inaccessible because of high flood levels.

GMA Kapuso Foundation EVP/COO Rikki Escudero-Catibog stated that this was the second wave of relief efforts in Bicol and additional distributions are planned for later weeks.

Among the latest beneficiaries were residents from Sitio Arsag in Brgy. Linao East, Tuguegarao City in Cagayan, and Sitio Fugo in Brgy. Maluno Norte, Benito Soliven in Isabela.
