Caritas Caceres appeals for typhoon aid donations

The Catholic Church's social aid arm in Camarines Sur, Caritas Caceres, has appealed for donations to help typhoon victims affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

Caritas Caceres is requesting essential supplies such as water, medicine, hygiene kits, and non-perishable food items like rice, canned goods, and biscuits, which can be dropped off at various locations including the Archbishop's Residence and local parishes.

The organization also accepts cash donations through several bank accounts and a GCash account provided on their Facebook post.

Several churches in Naga City were submerged in floodwaters due to Kristine, with waters receding but many villages remaining flooded as of Friday morning.

Since Tuesday, most parishes have opened their doors to serve as evacuation centers for displaced families who are running low on supplies and seeking rescue assistance.
