Ginebra loses Game 5, trails TNT 3-2 in PBA Finals

Ginebra star guard Scottie Thompson acknowledged that his team was outplayed in Game 5 of the PBA Governors' Cup Finals, falling to TNT Tropang Giga with a decisive 99-72 loss on Wednesday.

Thompson emphasized the need for Ginebra to move forward and stay positive as they face elimination after dropping the series to 3-2.

In Game 5, Thompson scored 13 points along with four rebounds and two assists, while LA Tenorio added 13 points, but the rest of the team struggled, including import Justin Brownlee who was limited to eight points.

TNT's early adjustments in the second quarter caught Ginebra off guard, leading to a significant lead that the Gin Kings could not overcome despite their reputation for spirited comebacks.

Ginebra aims to force a do-or-die Game 6 by staying positive and leaving it to their coaching staff to make necessary adjustments.
