TNT’s Oftana criticizes team’s shot selection, defense in losses

TNT forward Calvin Oftana criticized his team's poor shot selection and defensive play during Games 3 and 4 of the PBA Governors' Cup Finals against Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings, which led to their losses on Friday and Sunday.

Oftana highlighted that TNT was trailing by just three points entering the final frame in Game 3 but struggled to score only 14 points as Ginebra tightened its defense.

In Game 4, Oftana noted his frustration with limited opportunities in the second half after scoring 20 points in the first two quarters, contributing six more points as TNT lost 106-92 and tied the series at 2-2.

Despite a cold shooting night in the final games, Oftana emphasized the importance of confidence and taking advantage of open opportunities for Game 5 on Wednesday.

Oftana acknowledged that adjusting to Ginebra's strong coaching staff and players will be crucial for TNT moving forward in the series.
