Abarrientos scores 31 but Ginebra loses to TNT

RJ Abarrientos of Barangay Ginebra scored a career-high 31 points in Game 6 of the 2024 PBA Governors' Cup finals on Friday, November 8.

Despite his stellar performance, Ginebra fell to defending champion TNT Tropang Giga with a final score of 95-85, ending the series at 4-2.

Abarrientos, who averaged only 5.2 points in the first five games, shot 11/17 from the field and scored 18 crucial points in the second quarter to help Ginebra take an early lead.

Reflecting on the loss, Abarrientos expressed optimism about learning from the experience, acknowledging TNT's well-deserved victory while emphasizing his commitment to growth for future games.

The rookie said he needs time to rest and review before gearing up with a new approach in upcoming conferences.
