GenSan expands lockdown, closes borders amid possible local Covid-19 case

The city government of General Santos expanded the localized lockdown in two villages, Bula and Apopong, on Thursday due to a suspected locally acquired coronavirus case.

Four communities in Barangay Bula were placed under indefinite enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) effective Thursday.

City Mayor Ronnel Rivera ordered the closure of borders for non-essential travel on Monday night to prevent further disease transmission and facilitate contact-tracing activities.
