3 dialysis patients test positive for COVID-19 in SoCot

Three dialysis patients in Polomolok town, South Cotabato tested positive for COVID-19.

The patients were clients of a private hospital where an agricultural worker who tested positive on August 14 was first admitted.

Three hospital employees also tested positive after having contact with the patient.

Polomolok Mayor Honey Lumayag-Matti imposed a localized lockdown in four barangays and three communities starting Wednesday, lasting until September 2 to contain the spread of the virus.

Over 4,000 people were traced as possible close contacts of at least three confirmed local cases through South Cotabato’s contact tracing system.
