PNP chief approves 300 sets of protective gear for Metro Manila cops

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Archie Gamboa approved the procurement of 300 sets of protective gear for police officers in Metro Manila due to the coronavirus threat.

Gamboa emphasized the importance of basic hygiene practices such as hand washing and using alcohol, and announced the cancellation of major programs as a preventive measure.

He also directed the National Capital Region Police Office to prepare a team properly equipped with protective gear in case of infections among police personnel.
