Año calls for stricter NCR quarantine enforcement

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año called for stricter enforcement of the community quarantine in Metro Manila on Sunday, warning that non-compliance could lead to an increase in COVID-19 cases.

Año suggested issuing provisional permits for essential workers and emphasized that only those without symptoms and with valid reasons should enter the region.

On Friday, he also announced that a list would be created for exemptions, including members of the media and individuals requiring medical treatment or operations.
