AFP: No survey on vaccine willingness among troops

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) stated on Friday that they are not conducting a survey among their personnel regarding willingness to receive Covid-19 vaccines.

AFP spokesperson Marine Maj. Gen. Edgard Arevalo emphasized that as professional soldiers, they will get vaccinated with government-approved vaccines to better perform their duties.

Arevalo also noted the priority given to medical and health front-liners within the AFP, comprising around 25 percent of its strength.

On Thursday, AFP chief Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana said he is prioritizing other sectors such as front-liners for vaccination before getting vaccinated himself.
