PNP boosts vaccine info drive, hesitancy drops

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has intensified its information campaign to encourage all personnel to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, PNP deputy chief for administration, stated that hesitancy among police personnel is due to misinformation and the PNP is using an application called PNP CODA to post videos and fact sheets from health experts.

A survey conducted last week showed 49% of respondents were hesitant about vaccination; this number has since dropped to 37%, with over 26,000 personnel changing their minds.

The PNP is also checking if police officers assigned in local government units (LGUs) are included in the vaccine program to better manage national headquarters' vaccine allocation.
