Gov't working to expedite vaccine delivery

The Philippine government is working to expedite the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines due to global supply constraints.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. stated that negotiations are ongoing with countries like Britain, China, India, and Russia for additional doses in the first quarter.

Galvez also revealed during a televised meeting that the government is willing to pay more for earlier vaccine deliveries within the first half of the year.

Despite initial delays, Galvez assured that major vaccine rollouts will occur in the third and fourth quarters of 2021.
