Philippines to have enough vaccines for 70M adults this year

Philippine officials assured Tuesday that there will be enough coronavirus vaccines to inoculate at least 70 million adults this year.

The government plans to secure over 160 million doses through various suppliers including Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and others.

Despite delays in the arrival of some vaccines like Pfizer's first batch due to indemnification issues, Roque said that Sinovac vaccines will arrive on February 23.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. acknowledged a potential shortage during the first and second quarters but remains confident about meeting the year-end target.
