Nearly 600 Pinoys abroad test positive for coronavirus

As of Wednesday, April 8, nearly 600 Filipinos abroad have tested positive for coronavirus.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported an increase of 25 new cases, bringing the total to 594 with 362 still being treated and 164 recovered.

There are 68 deaths recorded, mostly in the Americas, while recoveries increased by five in the Asia Pacific region.

The breakdown shows 225 cases in Asia Pacific (under treatment: 93, recovered: 131), 199 in Europe (under treatment: 162, deaths: 27), and 68 in the Americas (deaths: 35).
