FEU Lady Tamaraws dominate UAAP chess, sweep multiple titles

The Lady Tamaraws of FEU clinched multiple championships in the UAAP chess tournament, including titles in high school girls', women's, and boys' divisions, with a dominant performance that included 10 wins and 2 draws as early as Round 12.

FEU assistant coach Janelle Frayna praised the team's hard work and initiative, highlighting the importance of self-study throughout the season.

Woman National Master Mhage Sebastian led the women's division with seven wins, three draws, and two losses on the top board, earning both the gold medal and MVP award.

National champion Ruelle Canino swept all her games in the high school girls' division to earn MVP honors, while April Joy Carlos won all seven of her games.

FEU also finished third in the men's division behind University of Santo Tomas and University of the Philippines, demonstrating their overall dominance across divisions.

The team's success is attributed to players' hard work, discipline, and determination, as well as the support from FEU leadership and management.
