FEU Lady Tamaraws lose to NU in do-or-die UAAP semis

Far Eastern University (FEU) and National University competed for the final spot in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball finals, but FEU fell short after a dominant sweep by NU in their do-or-die semifinals match on Wednesday, May 8.

Despite an impressive first game victory over top-seeded Lady Bulldogs last weekend, FEU lost decisively with scores of 25-13, 27-25, and 25-15.

UST has already secured their place in the Finals by defeating reigning champion De La Salle University in a thrilling five-set match on Sunday.

FEU's coach Manolo Refugia acknowledged the team's growth over two seasons and expressed gratitude for the sacrifices made by his players, noting that they have come a long way from just one game two years ago.

The FEU Lady Tamaraws exceeded expectations despite their exit in the Final Four, with Refugia emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and improvement for next season.
