No Filipinos infected with COVID-19 in Vietnam

No Filipino has been infected with COVID-19 in Vietnam since the start of the pandemic.

Vietnam's strict measures, including closing its border with China early on, have kept cases low at 328 with zero deaths.

Chargé d' Affaires Paul Vincent Uy praised Vietnam's effective response and credited stringent quarantine policies and contact tracing for controlling virus spread.

While most Filipino workers in Vietnam were able to return to work by April as restrictions eased, the pandemic has affected some livelihoods.
