PNP aids thousands of families in Zamboanga and Eastern Visayas

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has provided relief assistance to thousands of families affected by the COVID-19 crisis in both Zamboanga Peninsula and Eastern Visayas.

In Zamboanga, the Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) has helped 11,231 poor families through food packs and other supplies as part of their 'Adopt a Family Program'.

As of May 3, PRO-9 headquarters assisted 939 families while regional offices in Zamboanga City, Sibugay, del Norte, del Sur, Isabela City, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 provided aid to thousands more.

In Eastern Visayas, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 8 has reached out to help 2,015 poor families consisting of 8,939 individuals through their 'Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko!' program.
