PHP46.3M aid for E. Visayas displaced workers and families

The national government has provided PHP46.3 million in aid to displaced workers and families in Eastern Visayas due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

DOLE released over PHP27 million for 5,405 formal sector workers from 402 establishments, giving each worker a one-time PHP5,000 financial assistance.

Additionally, DSWD provided PHP5,000 emergency cash subsidies to 127,708 families in 94 towns and cities across Eastern Visayas under the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.
