Eastern Visayas: 47 towns complete PHP5K payout

As of Wednesday, May 6, at least 47 out of 143 local government units in Eastern Visayas have completed the payout of PHP5,000 emergency cash subsidy to families affected by the health crisis.

In Southern Leyte and parts of Leyte, all listed beneficiaries in specified towns have received the assistance.

Eastern Samar and Northern Samar also report completion of payouts in several towns.

Families not qualified for the national government's social amelioration program in Eastern Samar will receive PHP2,000 from the provincial government.

By May 4, a total of 343,548 families across Eastern Visayas had received the emergency cash aid, with over PHP1.7 billion released.
